In our office we utilize Microcurrent Point Stimulation Therapy (MPS) to aid in the recovery process for women who have undergone a C-Section surgery. It helps alleviate post-operative pain by triggering the release of endorphins and reducing inflammation at the incision site. It promotes faster wound healing by stimulating cellular repair and regeneration, potentially speeding up the closure of the incision. Additionally, the therapy can assist in minimizing scar tissue formation and improving the appearance of the scar by promoting collagen production and remodeling. It also aids in muscle relaxation around the incision area, easing tension and discomfort. Furthermore, microcurrent therapy may contribute to reducing swelling and edema, which commonly occur post-surgery, thus supporting overall recovery.
